The
PG Department of Commerce, Mercy College, Palakkad organised an Intercollegiate
Management fest in collaboration with Zignature Educational services on 29th
September 2023. The inaugural ceremony started at 10 am in the seminar hall. The
programme started with prayer song by Ms.Syama of final year B.Com
Finance. Principal Dr.Sr. Jorry T F delivered the
presidential address. Mrs. Priya Menon, CEO & Founder Director of Sankalp
Creative Ventures Pvt.Ltd inaugurated the program. Mrs Ramya John, HOD,
Department of Commerce and Dr.N M.Louly, Assistant Professor, Department of
Commerce were delivered felicitation speech. The
formal session ended with a Vote of thanks by Reshma R of final year
B.Com Finance. Master of ceremony was Deepthi and
Suvarna S. of final year B.Com CA. Followed by
the inauguration, events were initiated enlisting:‘MERAKI’- Best Management
Team, ‘DANCEFESTOPIA’- Solo Dance, ‘MERCATUS’- Best Marketing Team, ‘GRANDE
IMPRESSARIO’- Best Manager.
Around
140 students from 10 colleges took part in the event. The event was a grand
success in exploring the young potentialities and outstanding calibres. C
Athulya, Reshma, Divya B, and Anjitha S of final year B.Com were
the student coordinators. Faculty coordinators of the event were Dr. Sr. N M
Louly and Ms. Gopika S S. All events came to an
end around 3:30 pm. The prize distribution commenced from 4:00 pm onwards. The
winner of the best manager competition won a gold coin sponsored by Malabar
Gold & Diamonds. Cash Prizes, Trophies and Certificates to rest of the
winners was sponsored by Zignature Educational Services Pvt Ltd., and Josco
Jewellers.
The efforts of the main
coordinators Sr.N M Louly and Ms.Gopika S S are to be specially marked and
appreciated. Last but not the least the entire student coordinators, student
volunteers and teachers turned out the events to be a remarkable one. Heartfelt
gratitude to all the individual constituents integrated together in making the
fest a grand celebration.
