COMQUIZ - 23, conducted by the Research Department of Commerce, St. Thomas College (Autonomous) Thrissur on March 8, 2023

COMQUIZ is a quiz competition related to commerce and management. This competition was conducted by the Research Department of Commerce, St. Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur for past the past 9 years. COMQUIZ 2023 is the tenth edition in the series. A team was constituted under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Jilna John as faculty coordinator and Ms. Angel Antu P, final year M.Com student, Ms. Vishnupriya M and Ms. Shilpa A., final year B.Com students as student coordinators. The Preliminary round of COMQUIZ 2023 was conducted via online platform on 3 March 2023 and top 5 teams were selected based on their mark scored and time taken to complete the quiz. COMQUIZ 2023 was a record breaker this time as there were 147 teams across the nation. This was a tremendous remark in the history of COMQUIZ. 

Final round was conducted on 8 March 2023 at St. Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur in Menachery Hall at 09:30 am sponsored by KELTRON Knowledge Centre. The competition was inaugurated by Dr. Fr. Martin K A, Principal, St. Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur and Prof. Dr. Biju John M., Dean of Arts and Humanities and HOD, Research Department of Commerce presided over the event. The final round was hosted by the quiz master Prof. Mestin P. C. The questions were designed by the quiz master which made a good competitive spirit among the participants. There were 5 rounds in total and after a cut throat competition we got a final team as winner. Mr. Timothy Jaimy and Mr. Joys Sinto from Christ College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda, bagged the first position with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and certificates of merit; first runner up was a team from Sahrdaya Institute of Management Studies, Kodakara and the members were Mr. Archith Soman and Mr. Edwin Paulson with a cash prize of Rs. 5,000 and certificates of merit; and the second runner up position was bagged by Ms. Resmi Jose and Ms. Sona M G from Vimala College (Autonomous), Thrissur, with a cash prize of Rs. 3,000 and certificates of merit. The remaining participants were provided with certificate of participation.
