On 26th of July, in remembrance of the heroic sacrifices made by our armed forces during the Kargil War, a quiz competition was organized at Vimala College (Autonomous), Thrissur to pay tribute to the brave soldiers and to raise awareness about this significant chapter in India's history. The event aimed to commemorate Kargil Diwas and instill a sense of patriotism and pride among the participants.
The quiz competition was open to participants from various schools and colleges. It was organised in a collaborative effort by the NCC Unit and the Library Club of Vimala College. The event saw enthusiastic participation, with numerous teams registering for the quiz. Students from different age groups showed their eagerness to showcase their knowledge about the Kargil War.
The quiz was structured to test the participants' knowledge about the Kargil War, its historical background, key battles, war strategies, notable individuals, the eventual outcome and general knowledge. The questions were curated to cater to participants of different age groups, ensuring that the content was informative yet engaging.
The winners were awarded cash prize of ₹4000 and ₹3000 sponsored by Elixir CA coaching campus. All finalists received participation certificates to acknowledge their enthusiasm and efforts in learning about the historical event.
