Product Development Program organized @ Sahrdaya College of Engineering Kodakara

The young product developers of Sahrdaya College of Engineering Kodakara. Young and absolutely hungry to make their mark on the world, it was inspirational to be amongst the such bright and energetic bunch of students. With drive and constant persistence they have come out and made a product from its conception to the prototype, a prototype with their own brand and identity. The opportunities that are waiting for this group of talent is nothing short of limitless. Zaara Biotech is honoured to be part of their journey.

Zaara Biotech was started in the college dorm of Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology by a group of students in 2016 with a dream of improving the quality of life for people worldwide. The company aimed to develop innovative techniques to combat malnutrition and enrich living standards. Today, our company is an expert and disrupter in the field with millions of dollars in investment.

As a CSR activity, we are collaborating with colleges through MoU for conducting online training programs for students who are highly motivated from the life science department across the country. The program includes 5 courses with a duration of 2 months each. Students can enroll in a course based on their choice of interest. The courses are developed in such a way that they will run parallel to the syllabus of the institution and the classes will be conducted online so that it will be comfortable for the students. Students from an Indian institution can enroll in the course for a basic amount (This is to ensure serious participation of the student in the program.). 

The courses included in the program are - 

>Food product development

>Cosmetic product development

>Bioinformatics

>Agriculture technology

>Biomolecular formulation. 

Initially, we will be starting with a Food product development course. We will be taking a minimum of 20 students each for the courses at a time. A one-week internship will also be included in this. Each student will be making their product by the end of the course. We will support them in launching the product as a startup of its own from the respective college as well.

The first part of the course is meant to provide the students with basics and lay a foundation in the field with which they can build their ideas and perform efficiently in the field of their choice. With the completion of a course, the students can directly involve industrial-scale research methodologies in value-added product development to build a sophisticated start-up ecosystem from the campus. Students will be certified for the course they attend.

Our vision for this project is to empower the students with the necessary tools and give them the right amount of experience and exposure to prepare them for a future in the techno-corporate world. We guide them to explore new possibilities in a challenging environment by spanning their knowledge from an academic level to a laboratory and thereby to an industrial scale. We believe that such enlightened young minds would make a socially responsible, healthy, and competent generation of corporates globally.
