A condolence meeting was held today at 11:30 AM on 13th November 2023, at Medlycott Hall, to pay tribute to the late Professor P.Vijaya Kurup. The meeting commenced with the Principal Dr. Martin K A. ,addressing the gathered audience, informing them about the sorrowful passing of the Professor P Vijaya Kurup on 28th October 2023. Professor Vijaya Kurup was fondly remembered as a gentle and respectful educator, who treated everyone – teachers, staff, and students alike – with utmost regard. Dr. Fr. Martin K A, Principal then read out a heartfelt condolence message, after which all attendees observed a minute of silence, offering their prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed soul. Several esteemed colleagues shared their cherished memories about Professor P. Vijaya Kurup. Executive manager Rev. Fr. Biju Panengaden, Dr. Shemi John, HOD, Department of Hindi,Professor P J Varghese, Professor Rajendra Prasad, Professor Chandrashekharan and Joby AV representing the non-teaching staff shared their memories with the late professor.
Several Retired staff, teachers and students attended the meeting to pay their homage . The meeting was concluded with the Principal reading the condolence message,reminding everyone of the significant contributions made by Professor P Vijaya Kurup to the academic community. He will undoubtedly continue to inspire generations to come, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
