ABOUT THE SEMINAR
Research methodology is a way of explaining how a researcher intends to carry out their research. It's a logical, systematic plan to resolve a research problem. The seminar is designed to equip participants with key concepts on research methodology and methods in order to become effective qualitative researchers and policy makers. They will learn the basics of dissertation writing, methods for data collection. They will also understand basic steps in analyzing data and develop competencies in producing a qualitative report.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE
St. Mary's College, is an intellectual community that nurtures student learning, fosters faculty research and creative activity and provides service to the larger community. It is the pioneer First Grade College for women in the district, affiliated to Calicut University and situated in the heart of Thrissur. It was established in 1946 and administered by the CMC Educational Society. The College is re-accredited with 'A+' Grade by National Assess- ment Council (NAAC) in 2022. The vision of the institute is the holistic develop ment of young women through ac- ademic excellence, intellectual, moral and spiritual growth to equip them for the service of society and mould them as responsible citizens.
The Department of Biotechnology was established in 2000, by introducing B.Sc. Biotechnology course and later the M.Sc. Biotechnology programme in 2003, both affiliated to the Calicut University. The department has a well-equipped laboratory and offers various certificate and extension programme too.
