2023 The Mercy College Film Fest ,Tiny Tales : Organized by Ekta The Student Union of Mercy college Palakkad.

The student union of Mercy college, Ekta in collaboration with Insight - The creative group organized a four day film festival and an intercollege short film competition from 18- 21 December 2023.The students were shown a variety of short films, including Samvedhanam, Ahimsa ,Freedom at midnight and Kakka .Each was followed  by an interactive session.

The discussants were Dr.Sreedevi.K.Menon ( Assistant professor,Department of English)and Ms.Shyni .E.T.( Assistant professor, Department of History) .The Union representatives Arathi.R ( Vicechairperson) and Rashmi .T.R ( General secretary) has coordinated the event.

The Department of History from Mercy college bagged the first prize for the short film  "Nayana" .The jury members were Shri.C.K.Ramakrishnan, Vice president, Insight - The creative group and Shri.Methil Komalankutty, General secretary, Insight - The creative group and Dr.Nila.N,Assistant professor, Department of  English, Mercy College Palakkad. On the whole the event was an encouragement and a platform for the students  to show case their talent and creativity.
