About the Seminar
Multivariate techniques are mostly depended in social science researches. Where a series of dependent - independent relationships are examined simultaneously or a situation where the validity of measure has to be established, SEM serves powerful tool to analyse. These research methodologies are very crucial to start the journey of research and publications.
Objectives
To familiarize the participants about the nature of commerce and management research data and the research problems and hypotheses.
To Empower the Participants to have clear understanding on the assumptions and use of applied statistical Techniques in research.
To provide hands on experience the practicing on confirmatory factor analysis with the help of AMOS software.
To enhance the analytical skills of participants through the use of structural equation modeling (SEM).

About the College
Government College Chittur is the second Government College to be established in the erstwhile Cochin State, came into being on the 11th of August, 1947. The college was affiliated to University of Calicut in 1968 and included in section 2(f) and 12B of the UGC Act 1956. The college has been selected for the RUSA grant by the MHRD. The college offers 15 UG, 7 PG and 6 Ph.D. Programmes. The DST Govt. of India has identified Mathematics department for DSTFIST support in 2008 and in 2014, the DST selected the college as a DST-FIS sponsored college. The College celebrated its Platinum Jubilee in 2022 by providing housing to 7 students of college with the help of well-wishers. The campus is declared as Green Campus in 2023 by Suchitwa Mission, Govt. of Kerala.
About the Department
The Department of Commerce was formed in 1947.It offers M.Com (Finance) and B.Com(Co-operation) Programmes. The Department has seven permanent faculty members, 245 students. During the last seven decades, the Department has produced eminent Administrators, Academicians, Entrepreneurs, Businessmen, and Professionals as CAs, CMAs and CS, Senior Executives in banking and insurance sectors, etc. The department offers 3 Add on Courses on SPSS, Cooperative Audit and GST.
