Sustainable lifestyle workshop organized @ St. Mary's College Thrissur

In collaboration with National Green Corps, Thrissur, Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment Govt. of Kerala, Department of Botany and Zoology, St. Mary’s College,Thrissur conducted a Sustainable lifestyle workshop for students on 27/1/2024. The workshop was supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and climate change, Govt. of India.

The programme was made successful and benefited by  schools students from various schools of Thrissur- C.S.H.S.S, Thrissur, G.H.S.S, Elavally,S.K.H.S Mattathur, C.M.S HSS , Thrissur, Santha H.S.S Avanoor, Govt.H.SS., Anchery, C.M.S H.S.S, Thrissur, Deepthi H.S , Thalore, C.M.G.H.S.S. Kuttur. The workshop was inaugurated by Sr. Dr. Beena TL, Principal St. Mary’s College.

The programme was coordinated by James NJ, Executive Director, Guruvayoor Green Habitat Society, Pavaratty, Thrissur and District Coordinator of National Green Corps. The students had a real hand experience visiting the medicinal garden of the Botany department and Butterfly garden of the Zoology department of the school.  A talk was led by Dr. Manju Madhavan and Dr. Dalie Dominic on the topic Environmental Conservation.
